The Alcantara Valley is a truly unique area rich in peculiarities. The little volcano of Mojo Alcantara is among them. It is a small hill with an unmistakable cone shape and is identified as a volcano.
In fact, it is the most eccentric and also the northernmost of the adventitious craters of Etna, the only one not to be in the province of Catania. The volcano has a diameter of 700 meters and rises from the surrounding land for about 150 meters, while the top is just over 700 meters above sea level.
