To San Giuseppe, patron saint of Randazzo since 1679, on the anniversary of the last lava flow (17/19 March 1981), a thanksgiving ceremony is dedicated for the narrow escape, which ends with a torchlight procession that reaches the statue, located on the hill of San Pietro and facing Etna, which the sculptor Gaetano Arrigo wanted to dedicate to the saint, one year after the dramatic event.
